Metacognition? What is it? Its such a long word.... *shudder*

Metacognition  (Said as following- META-COG-NI-TION) is basically thinking about your thinking. It may seem awkward but you are actually using metacognition without knowing it. Cool stuff isnt it!? Its not? Well some people think it's cool. Some people are actually have a better "lock-on" eye sight that others. Some people might pin point things that arent visible to others. Metacognition kicks in. You are able to identify a object in a picture or view and you know its that because you are able to explain why the object is what it is. Suppose a picture contains a small swimming pool and their are little dots on it- You could say that those dots are people since people swim in swimming; with that said, the picture may have been taken in the skies or bird-eyed view. Is that enough info.... I think this is. If you have any other question please leave it in the comment section- if there is any. Any response about how this blog is inproper or its useless I won't read it.

  1. Your voice really comes through this blog post! The example you provide of metacognition demonstrates you have some understanding of the concept. Yet, I am still left wondering about your personal experiences with 'Think Aloud' and how metacognition might benefit you as a student.
